Collecting Recipes and Cookbooks

Have you ever noticed that most (if not all) diabetic cookbooks have a lot of ingrediants in them that you dont like? I would like to find one that will give you an alternat ingrediant in them that you like. I know there ment to help diabetics to keep there blood sugar in controle. Its just that it would be easier to do that if you liked what you are eating. So what I do is change that one or two ingrediants to what I like and hope it turns out right and still do me good. Today I will go through my recipes and find one to post for you. whell thats my thoughts for the day.

Today I went on line and found a site that gives you the history of recipes. It was very interesting. you find out where the first recipes come from and the erra. The Angel food cake history is really interestin . they talk about how many eggs it takes and the length of time it took to hand beat some of the recipes back then. Oops I went back and looked it says 1 recipe took 20 eggs and it took 3 hours to beat the mix(They didnt have electric hand mixers back then) Can you imagine ! Things are so much more simpler now a days. Thats it for now I'm just waiting for you. I'll be back later.
I tried a cookie recipe out yesterday, it was really good. I wanted more to eat. but I'm a diabetic so I had to controle myself. That wasnt easy . these cookies have cornflakes in them. The recipe said the servings where 24 and it was mor e like 48. I dont think that person had made those cookies yet, or they made some really big cookies. I cant complain though, because I dont like a lot of differant foods so I dont always try the recipe out either.
I have discovered that oven settings may differ, I'm not sure though. maybe some one that knows about that can comment here . If you would please.

Collecting Recipes and Cookbooks

My fiance got me an on line cookbook because I have so many recipes collected in my computer. he said I should make a bunch of cookbooks. I have tried a bunch of the recipes and discovered that some of them have a timing problem or the temp is all wrong. So, I need to make a few adjustments on them. has any one else had this problem?
